Obama Administration pushed 'Religious Intolerance' Resolution

Those attacks on U.S. embassies are not only looking more like a Middle Eastern nudge toward suppression of free speech but also an attempt to make the Obama administration follow through on a U.N. Resolution it supported last year. In a sane world, this might be considered an unintended consequence but under Obama, very few consequences are unintended.

Via CNS News from December of 2011:
The U.N. General Assembly on Monday adopted a resolution condemning the stereotyping, negative profiling and stigmatization of people based on their religion, and urging countries to take effective steps “to address and combat such incidents.”

No member state called for a recorded vote on the text, which was as a result adopted “by consensus.”

The resolution, an initiative of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is based on one passed by the U.N.’s Human Rights Council in Geneva last spring. The State Department last week hosted a meeting to discuss ways of “implementing” it.

Every year since 1999 the OIC has steered through the U.N.’s human rights apparatus a resolution condemning the “defamation of religion,” which for the bloc of 56 Muslim states covered incidents ranging from satirizing Mohammed in a newspaper cartoon to criticism of shari’a and post-9/11 security check profiling.

Critics regard the measure as an attempt to outlaw valid and critical scrutiny of Islamic teachings, as some OIC states do through controversial blasphemy laws at home.
Gee, I wonder how many figures in the Muslim world decided to try to "implement" the resolution by attacking U.S. Embassies on 9/11.

Video: UN Demonizes Santa Clause in Christmas Ad

Regardless of where you come down on the issue of whether or not there is a 'War on Christmas,' this is beyond disgraceful. Even if you think Christmas has become too commercialized, this is beyond disgraceful. If you're in the camp of folks that says Christianity has been merged with a pagan holiday and aren't a fan of Santa Claus, this is still beyond disgraceful.

The United Nations has put together an ad that actually demonizes Santa Claus as someone not interested in landing his sleigh in poor countries; he's only interested in helping the rich.

This takes class warfare to a new low.

Shockingly, UNICEF actually thinks this will motivate people to shop with them for Christmas gifts.

The tagline at the end is also a disgrace:

"UNICEF: We go where Santa doesn't"

Newt Pledges to Tap John Bolton as Secretary of State if Elected

For those who have serious concerns about a Gingrich nomination based on a past chock full of questionable decisions and actions, this could help alleviate a significant chunk of those concerns.

Via RCP:
Newt Gingrich told those gathered at a meeting of the Republican Jewish Coalition in Washington on Wednesday that if elected president next year, he will tap former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton to be his secretary of state.
"If you will accept it, I will ask John Bolton to be secretary of state," he said to cheers during his remarks in the Ronald Reagan Building.
If a Secretary of State John Bolton is indicative of the types of people Newt would appoint, I could start warming up to the idea of nominating him rather quickly.

Besides, anyone who can make a RINO like Sen. George Voinovich blubber in fear at the notion of his being nominated as the US Ambassador to the UN has got to be a winning choice.

Remember this from 2007?

United Nations: US Isn't Protecting OWS Protesters

This alone, should warrant kicking the entire United Nations off of US soil. At one level, the mindset of a UN envoy relative to the OWS protesters isn't all that surprising. After all, the UN is an entity that leeches off society's producers as well. However, this is an argument so absurd that it rivals that of Angel Adams, the single mother of 15 kids who wants someone else to be 'held accountable.'

Apparently, the OWS crowd is not responsible for the ringworm and tuberculosis outbreaks, the feces it lives in, the assaults it commits, the theft, the rapes, the vandalism, the violence, the millions of dollars in damages, or the murders that have all been perpetrated by its members. No, according to this whacko, the OWS crowds need to be protected, from what, I have no idea.

Via the Huffington Post:
WASHINGTON -- The United Nations envoy for freedom of expression is drafting an official communication to the U.S. government demanding to know why federal officials are not protecting the rights of Occupy demonstrators whose protests are being disbanded -- sometimes violently -- by local authorities.
Frank La Rue, who serves as the U.N. "special rapporteur" for the protection of free expression, told HuffPost in an interview that the crackdowns against Occupy protesters appear to be violating their human and constitutional rights.
"I believe in city ordinances and I believe in maintaining urban order," he said Thursday. "But on the other hand I also believe that the state -- in this case the federal state -- has an obligation to protect and promote human rights."
"If I were going to pit a city ordinance against human rights, I would always take human rights," he continued.
I think as punishment for La Rue's insane position, he should be forced to spend one hour in a room with the police officers who had to wear Hazmat uniforms to clean up thousands of pounds of human feces. Then he should follow that up with a trip to Saudi Arabia where he can pop off about the violation of human rights in that country.

Good luck, whacko.

The sick irony is that the Tea Party best represents the cross-section of America that allows people like La Rue to get paid. Any guesses as to whether or not he stood up for the right of the Tea Party not to have to endure government theft?

ClimateGate 2: Another Torpedo to 'the Cause'

Perhaps no single event - not even snow in New Orleans or Las Vegas - so torpedoed Al Gore's global warming, er climate change movement than the hundreds of thousands of emails that were released about this time two years ago, just as the Copenhagen climate summit was set to begin (it was unseasonably cold there at the time, as I remember). It looks like the sinking ship that is the climate change movement has just taken another significant hit, on the eve of this year's climate summit, in Durban, South Africa.

Perhaps the two most recognizable names that popped up in the emails released two years ago were Dr. Phil Jones of East Anglia University and Michael Mann of Penn State University (yeah, that Penn State). Their names pop up in these emails as well.

Via The Guardian:
A fresh tranche of private emails exchanged between leading climate scientists throughout the last decade was released online on Tuesday. The unauthorised publication is an apparent attempt to repeat the impact of a similar release of emails on the eve of the Copenhagen climate summit in late 2009.
The initial email dump was apparently timed to disrupt the Copenhagen climate talks. It prompted three official inquiries in the UK and two in the US into the working practices of climate scientists. Although these were critical of the scientists' handling of Freedom of Information Act requests and lack of openness they did not find fault with the climate change science they had produced.
Norfolk police have said the new set of emails is "of interest" to their investigation to find the perpetrator of the initial email release who has not yet been identified.
The emails appear to be genuine, but the University of East Anglia said the "sheer volume of material" meant it was not yet able to confirm that they were. One of the emailers, the climate scientist Prof Michael Mann, has confirmed that he believes they are his messages. The lack of any emails post-dating the 2009 release suggests that they were obtained at the same time, but held back. Their release now suggests they are intended to cause maximum impact before the upcoming climate summit in Durban which starts on Monday.
The website Watts Up with That is running a constantly updated thread. You can check that HERE. One of the more interesting things posted there are some excerpts from Mann's emails in which the pseudo-scientist from Penn State refers quite often to 'the cause.' Here are some of them:
Mann: By the way, when is Tom C going to formally publish his roughly 1500 year reconstruction??? It would help the cause to be able to refer to that reconstruction as confirming Mann and Jones, etc.
Mann: They will (see below) allow us to provide some discussion of the synthetic example, referring to the J. Cimate paper (which should be finally accepted upon submission of the revised final draft), so that should help the cause a bit.
Mann: I gave up on Judith Curry a while ago. I don’t know what she think’s she’s doing, but its not helping the cause
Isn't it interesting that as common-thinking people knew it was about "the cause" all along, Al Gore's minions demonized - and continue to do so - those clear-thinking people as climate skeptics?

Read More at WUWT

Climate Depot has also posted a bunch of damning excerpts:
Michael Mann, 2006: "we certainly don’t know the GLOBAL mean temperature anomaly very well, and nobody has ever claimed we do"
Mike, The Figure you sent is very deceptive [...] there have been a number of dishonest presentations of model results by individual authors and by IPCC [...]
Jones: 'I wasted a part of a day deleting numerous emails and exchanges with almost all the skeptics. So I have virtually nothing. I even deleted the email that I inadvertently sent'
This is a ton of material and for those who don't have time to go through it, just know that this may put the entire climate change movement down for the count.

BBC is still running interference but at least they're reporting on this story quickly, which is more than can be said about them in 2009.

The Cult of Climate Change

If you had any doubt that the Eco-Wackos weren't part of a cult, that doubt should be erased now. The UN Foundation is concocting a scheme that will consist of an 'aggressive program' designed to target people who call them Eco-Wackos. Actually, anyone who denies man-made climate change is to have his mind made right or his character assassinated. I particularly like the fact that Tim Wirth, the head of the Foundation thinks people who deny his madness have gotten a 'free ride.' He actually is calling for that free ride to stop.

Via CNS News:
Former Democratic Sen. Tim Wirth of Colorado, now the president of the UN Foundation, said the flooding and forest fires in the United States this year are evidence of "the kind of dramatic climate impact" climate change models have predicted and that those in the know on climate change must “undertake an aggressive program to go after those who are among the deniers.”

In a UN Foundation conference call about climate change, from Svalbard, Norway on Thursday, Wirth said, “[W]e have to--I think, again as I’ve suggested before--undertake an aggressive program to go after those who are among the deniers, who are putting out these mistruths, and really call them for what they’re doing and make a battle out of it. They’ve had pretty much of a free ride so far, and that time has got to stop.”
Uh, perhaps Mr. Wirth should start reading the Climategate emails. I particularly like how Wirth included the Arizona wildfires in his list of examples:As for the recent fires in Southwest and the flooding in the Midwest, Wirth said:
“While you can’t predict exactly from the climate models what’s going to happen, we know that the overall trend is going to be increased drought, increased flooding, increased number of fires. And we’re seeing exactly that sort of thing in the United States today with increased flooding this last year, with the fires that have swept, raging through Arizona and western New Mexico and Texas, the kind of dramatic climate impact that we have seen in the United States already.”

“Slowly but surely, people are going to connect the dots,” he said. “They’re going to understand that this is precisely the kind of significant change that has been predicted and that we’re slowly but surely seeing.”
Lost on this guy is that most of the Arizona wildfires are being started by illegal aliens. In that regard, the source of what Wirth points to as a sign of man-made climate change is indeed man-made.

Pig, meet acorn.

Welcome to the Likely Motive for Operation Fast and Furious

In light of what we now know about Operation Fast and Furious, it makes sense to search for a motive. This one is as obvious as it gets. First, someone very high up in the Obama administration - above the ATF Director - signed off on a program whereby ATF agents would direct gun store owners to sell guns to straw purchasers who would then put those guns in the hands of drug cartels. Our government was arming bad guys. One Border Agent and one ICE Agent are dead as a result. Had ATF whistleblowers not come forward, gun store owners would have been blamed but why?

The most likely motive has to do with a U.N. Weapons Ban treaty that would significantly neuter our Second Amendment. To be ratified, it would require 2/3 of the Senate to sign off on it. Obama would certainly sign it at that point. The fact that this treaty is even still on the table after what's been exposed by the Project Gunrunner scandal is a testament to the arrogance of this administration. In essence, government authorities set up gun store owners as the fall guys to further an agenda. What better way to garner support for this U.N. Weapons treaty than to show that American gun store owners are arming bad guys in Mexico?

Larry Bell at Forbes explains the Treaty:
It may not come as surprising news to many of you that the United Nations doesn’t approve of our Second Amendment. Not one bit. And they very much hope to do something about it with help from some powerful American friends. Under the guise of a proposed global “Small Arms Treaty” premised to fight “terrorism”, “insurgency” and “international crime syndicates” you can be quite certain that an even more insidious threat is being targeted – our Constitutional right for law-abiding citizens to own and bear arms.

What, exactly, does the intended agreement entail?

While the terms have yet to be made public, if passed by the U.N. and ratified by our Senate, it will almost certainly force the U.S. to:

Enact tougher licensing requirements, creating additional bureaucratic red tape for legal firearms ownership.

Confiscate and destroy all “unauthorized” civilian firearms (exempting those owned by our government of course).

Ban the trade, sale and private ownership of all semi-automatic weapons (any that have magazines even though they still operate in the same one trigger pull – one single “bang” manner as revolvers, a simple fact the ant-gun media never seem to grasp).

Create an international gun registry, clearly setting the stage for full-scale gun confiscation.

In short, overriding our national sovereignty, and in the process, providing license for the federal government to assert preemptive powers over state regulatory powers guaranteed by the Tenth Amendment in addition to our Second Amendment rights.
If this administration felt it needed to take such a risk by secretly arming Mexican cartels in order to garner support for the U.N. weapons treaty, it already viewed ratification of that treaty as a tall order. However, when ATF agent John Dodson came forward to blow the lid off this dastardly plan, it should have instantly torpedoed the chances of this treaty passing.

Instead, the Obama administration seems to be doubling down on the eve of what are expected to be very grueling hearings chaired by Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA).

Read it all.

Was Project Gunrunner Scandal a 'Crisis' Created?

My latest column at Big Peace explores the increasingly likely possibility that the ATF may have allowed weapons to be purchased and trafficked illegally into Mexico to help create a crisis that an international gun treaty could then solve. A big problem for the ATF is the number of its agents who have come forward to blow the whistle. Indications are that approval for Operation Fast & Furious went all the way to the very top of the ATF and possibly even higher - think Eric Holder. ATF Director Kenneth Melson has already blown off a subpoena issued by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Consider the notion that high ranking administration officials wanted these guns exported into Mexico to create a crisis. Two of those weapons were found at the murder scene of a Border Patrol agent. This, more than anything else, was the last straw for the whistleblowers. This scandal could be like Watergate, only with murder.

Via Big Peace:
Never letting a crisis go to waste is a core belief of the Obama administration. As the incoming Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel infamously championed the practice:

“Things that we had postponed for too long, that were long-term, are now immediate and must be dealt with. This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before.”

In 2009, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton echoed the sentiment when she told a Brussels audience to “never waste a good crisis” while talking about climate change. At about the same time, Clinton was responsible for pushing a provably false narrative that 90% of the guns used to commit crimes in Mexico came from the United States.

Just a few short months later, Clinton announced that she would support the United Nations’ efforts to regulate arms sales. Clinton said the following in a written statement:

“Consensus is needed to ensure the widest possible support for the Treaty and to avoid loopholes in the Treaty that can be exploited by those wishing to export arms irresponsibly.”

Barack Obama himself promised Mexico that he would push the U.S. Senate for ratification of an international gun treaty that would operate under the auspices of preventing guns from entering Mexico illegally from the United States. It was a tall order that required two-thirds of the Senate to approve.

While the administration was pushing an agenda by pushing false narratives, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) was allowing high caliber weapons to be exported irresponsibly to Mexico and placed in the hands of murderous drug cartels. Known as Operation Fast and Furious, it was part of the larger Project Gunrunner program.

There is now ironclad proof that the decision to allow straw purchasers to buy AK-47’s and .50 caliber Barrett rifles which then were ‘walked’ into Mexico was made by someone extremely high up within the ATF and possibly Eric Holder’s Justice Department. The last straw for a growing number of whistleblowers was when two of those weapons were found at the murder scene of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry last December.

When a gun shop owner expressed grave concern about this policy to ATF Phoenix Supervisor David Voth in an email, he was told to continue selling weapons illegally. When that same shop owner expressed concern for the safety of Border agents six months before Terry’s death, Voth told him to continue.

In reality, it was this and other gun shop owners who were acting responsibly; a government agency – who Attorney General Eric Holder is ultimately responsible for – acted worse than irresponsibly.

Initially, the ATF denied it was allowing these guns to ‘walk.’ It lied. Now, its Director has ignored a subpoena and countless requests for documents by House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA). Eric Holder and Hillary Clinton have both denied requests for information as well.

The evidence in this scandal is increasingly pointing to officials extremely high up in this administration. At that point, the dots are not too far apart to connect.

Guns being transported into Mexico illegally is certainly a ‘crisis’ made exponentially worse by the resultant deaths. Such a crisis, if properly exploited, could serve as the impetus for getting the Senate to ratify an international weapons treaty.

Until and unless Clinton, Holder, and ATF Director Kenneth Melson prove to us that a crisis wasn’t created in order to do something they could not do before, what else are we left to conclude?

Video: Qur'an Burning Pastor Blamed for Deaths in Afghanistan

The Gainesville, FL pastor who backed out of his pledge to burn Qur'ans last September carried through on the threat last month by declaring Islam 'guilty.' He then sentenced the book to burning - all televised of course. Based on the U.S. Constitution, he had every right to do it but an extremely disturbing reality is being manufactured as a consequence. Afghani Muslims, citing the action of pastor Terry Jones, stormed the U.N. Office and began murdering people. Yet, those who committed the acts of murder are not being blamed by the liberal western media or Afghanistan leader Hamid Karzai; Terry Jones is.

Via First Coast News / USA Today:
At the U.S. State Department, spokesman Mark Toner said the burning of a Quran in Florida was contrary to Americans' respect for Islam and religious tolerance. "This is an isolated act done by a small group of people and ... does not reflect the respect the people of the United States have toward Islam," he said.

The church's website stated that after a five-hour trial on March 20, the Quran "was found guilty and a copy was burned inside the building." A picture on the website shows a book in flames in a small portable fire pit. The church on Friday confirmed that the Quran had been burned.

In a statement, Jones did not comment on whether the church's act had led to the deaths. Instead he said it was time to "hold Islam accountable" and called on the United States and the U.N. to hold "these countries and people accountable for what they have done as well as for any excuses they may use to promote their terrorist activities."

Last week, Afghan President Hamid Karzai issued a statement calling the burning a "crime against a religion." He denounced the U.N. attack as a "disrespectful and abhorrent act" and called on the U.S. and the United Nations to bring to justice those who burned the holy book. Karzai issued a statement late Friday calling the killings an "inhumane act" that was "against the values of Islam and Afghans." He said he planned to call officials at U.N. headquarters to express his regret and condolences from the people of Afghanistan.
So Karzai wants Jones arrested? Though he's likely just trying to keep the angry mobs from targeting him, it's still a ridiculous assertion but that's where 'creeping Sharia' will lead. Over at CNN, John King said he interviewed Terry Jones but didn't air it because Jones's words were too hateful.

Via USA Today:
On CNN's John King USA show Friday night King said he had a "lengthy interview" with Pastor Terry Jones, who has presided over burning the Quran earlier this month. But viewers will never see King's interview.

-----

People have been killed in the angry aftermath. A mob charged a U.N outpost in Afghanistan and as many as 12 were killed.

What did Jones say to that? Plenty, says King. But it was all "too hateful" to air. After long discussion within CNN, King told viewers, the interview would not be shown, even though, King says, he "pushed back hard" at Jones' anti-Islamic remarks.
Jones's decision to burn the Qur'an was clearly a stunt and an act to garner attention. The same can be said about Bill Ayers standing on a crumpled up U.S. flag. Would Ayers have been blamed if right wing extremists would have gone on a shooting rampage halfway across the world? The short answer is NO. If the media isn't careful, it's going to rally people to Jones's side in this saga. Saying it was ill-advised to burn the Qur'an is one thing. Blaming the man for other people committing murder because of it is something completely different and over the line.

Here is the video of Jones - dressed in a Judge's black robe - sentencing the Qur'an. This is what the libs are pointing to as the act that led to murder. The flipside to that argument is that the murderers proved Jones's point.

OBAMA GIVES POLAR BEARS 187,000 SQUARE MILES OF ALASKA

The Obama administration is at it again, setting aside 187,000 square miles in Alaska for the polar bears and calling it 'critical habitat.' The consequences of this action will actually serve to harm human beings as it will put even more restrictions on offshore drilling. Think about this one. Land that is full of vast resources belonging to America is being given to polar bears in the name of protecting them from becoming endangered.

Via Los Angeles Times:
The Obama administration is setting aside 187,000 square miles in Alaska as a "critical habitat" for polar bears, an action that could restrict future offshore drilling for oil and gas. The total, which includes large areas of sea ice off the Alaska coast, is about 13,000 square miles, or 8.3 million acres, less than in a preliminary plan released last year.

Tom Strickland, assistant secretary for fish, wildlife and parks at the Interior Department, said the designation would help polar bears stave off extinction, recognizing that the greatest threat is the melting of Arctic sea ice caused by climate change.

"This critical habitat designation enables us to work with federal partners to ensure their actions within its boundaries do not harm polar bear populations," Strickland said. "We will continue to work toward comprehensive strategies for the long-term survival of this iconic species."
There is a significant problem with the premise, however. The polar bear population has been dramatically increasing. The UK Telegraph reported back in 2009 in the run-up to the Copenhagen Climate Change Summit that a report by a polar bear expert was suppressed because it didn't fit the agenda:
….one of the world's leading experts on polar bears has been told to stay away from this week's meeting, specifically because his views on global warming do not accord with those of the rest of the group.

Dr Mitchell Taylor has been researching the status and management of polar bears in Canada and around the Arctic Circle for 30 years, as both an academic and a government employee. More than once since 2006 he has made headlines by insisting that polar bear numbers, far from decreasing, are much higher than they were 30 years ago. Of the 19 different bear populations, almost all are increasing or at optimum levels, only two have for local reasons modestly declined.
The revelations uncovered thanks to Climategate have not stopped Obama. Despite the evidence now being irrefutable that the entire Climate Change movement is about wealth re-distribution, not science; this guy continues to plow ahead with an agenda that is purely evil.

h/t to Gateway Pundit

Time to get back to Scripture with Genesis 1: 26-28:
26God said, Let Us [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the [tame] beasts, and over all of the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth.(A)

27So God created man in His own image, in the image and likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them.(B)

28And God blessed them and said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it [using all its vast resources in the service of God and man]; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and over every living creature that moves upon the earth.
Here's a video of Marc Morano appearing of Fox News Channel, where he discussed a recent statement by a U.N. official that the Climate Change agenda is about wealth re-distribution.

OBAMA ALLOWS U.N. TO TRASH U.S. ON HUMAN RIGHTS

A chief deputy under Hillary Clinton at the U.S. State Department went to Geneva's U.N. Human Rights Council to sit in front of representatives from other countries so the United States could be chastised about its record on Human Rights. Michael Posner, who is already known for apologizing to the Chinese for Arizona's audacity to sign a bill into law that would allow it to protect its citizens, willingly sat in front of the worst of the worst when it comes to human rights abuses and took their abuse.

Via Fox News:
The Obama administration got a new “shellacking” this morning, this one entirely voluntary. In the name of improving America’s image abroad, it sent three top officials from the State Department to Geneva’s U.N. Human Rights Council to be questioned about America’s human rights record by the likes of Cuba, Iran, and North Korea.

This was the first so-called “universal periodic review” of human rights in the U.S. by the Council, which the Obama administration decided to join in 2009.

The move represents a striking departure from prior American foreign policy, which has been to ratify selected human rights treaties after due consideration and submit American policy-makers to recommendations based on well-conceived standards accepted by the United States.

But in the three-hour inquisition which took place this morning, Michael Posner, Assistant Secretary, Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor responded with “thanks to very many of the delegations for thoughtful comments and suggestions” shortly after Cuba said the U.S. blockade of Cuba was a “crime of genocide,” Iran “condemned and expressed its deep concern over the situation of human rights” in the United States, and North Korea said it was “concerned by systematic widespread violations committed by the United States at home and abroad.”
So the United States is allowing itself to be lectured by North Korea, Cuba, and Iran on how it treats its citizens - and illegal aliens. If Posner was grilled over our abortion record in this country, I might feel a bit better about this.

Log, meet speck.

HERE is more on Posner's antics with China.

BLACK PANTHERS MEET WITH AHMADINEJAD UNCONDITIONALLY

There are now two stories involving the New Black Panther Party that occurred in the same week the mainstream media appears to be completely disinterested in. Perhaps the most explosive was the testimony of civil rights attorney in the Department of Justice, Christopher Coates, who identified individuals within the DOJ who refused to prosecute the Black Panther case on racial grounds. The other story involved a shared dining experience between Louis Farrakhan, members of the New Black Panther Party, and Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Via the New York Post:
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's six nights in New York featured a secret sit-down with militant minister Louis Farrakhan, heckling in a hotel bar, and a fear of being rubbed out that bordered on paranoia.

The president shared a hush-hush meal with Farrakhan and members of the New Black Panther Party Tuesday at the Warwick Hotel on West 54th Street.

The meeting of the podium smackers took place in a banquet room, where the fiery leaders presumably exchanged theories on what's wrong with the world.
No doubt, the subject of those 'rotten Jews' was on the table for discussion. Be sure to read the whole article. It points out Mahmoud's paranoia, his stinky clothes, his stinky food, and a woman who openly accused him of stoning her sister. It doesn't appear that Ahmadinejad's most recent visit to the U.S. went all that well.

VIDEO: AHMADINEJAD A 9/11 TRUTHER

Perhaps talk show host Alex Jones and his followers will finally begin re-thinking their positions about 9/11 being an inside job. Then again, perhaps not. They are quite emotionally invested in the notion. So many documentaries will have to be re-done. Earlier this month, we learned that a close associate of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf signed the 9/11 Truther document. Now, we have Iranian dictator Mahmoud Ahmadinejad making the same claims at the United Nations.

Steve Emerson's IPT uncovered video Rauf associate Faiz Khan, also known as signatory #52 on the 9/11 Truth.org petition (unlike Van Jones, his name hasn't been removed from the petition yet) not only co-founded the American Society for Muslim Advancement (ASMA) with Rauf but he's also lectured at Rauf's mosque on multiple occasions.

Now this. Ahmadinejad is on board with 9/11 truth too. How will the Alex Jones truthers make this fit into their grand conspiracy theory?

OUTRAGE: OBAMA TEAMS UP WITH UN TO TARGET ARIZONA

If this doesn't get Governors like Rick Perry of Texas to publicly and forcefully stand with Arizona, I'm not sure anything will. Frankly, the state being sued by the Department of Justice for actually legally passing legislation that mirrors federal law should have been more than enough. This is over-the-top egregious. Barack Obama has now placed the state of Arizona in front of the U.N. Human Rights Council, which consists of nations that have set the world standard for human rights - Cuba, China, and Libya.

Via Gateway Pundit, HERE is the Obama administration's report - courtesy of Hillary's State Department - to the UN Council on Human Rights. Skip ahead to line 95 and 96, which say:
95. A recent Arizona law, S.B. 1070, has generated significant attention and debate at home and around the world. The issue is being addressed in a court action that argues that the federal government has the authority to set and enforce immigration law. That action is ongoing; parts of the law are currently enjoined.

96. President Obama remains firmly committed to fixing our broken immigration system, because he recognizes that our ability to innovate, our ties to the world, and our economic prosperity depend on our capacity to welcome and assimilate immigrants. The Administration will continue its efforts to work with the U.S. Congress and affected communities toward this end.
The implication should be clear. Our federal government is choosing not to enforce federal law and is not only penalizing a state for following it but is chastising that state in front of the United Nations for human rights violations. The President of the United States - and anyone who goes along with this, including Hillary Clinton - are siding with the UN over one of our country's own states.

Governor Brewer is not taking this laying down; she has responded in the form of a letter to Hillary Clinton.

Be sure to read it all.

Paging Rick Perry.........Paging Rick Perry.

REUTERS: SHILLING FOR ZELAYA

This may be a sign that Roberto Micheletti's government is beginning to win the stand-off. Reuters coverage of what's going on there seems to have moved away from implied support of the Obama administration's policy of reinstating ousted president Manuel Zelaya and toward blatantly biased reporting.

Quoting REUTERS:
Suspicious deaths. Beatings. Random police shootings. Life under the de facto government of Honduras at times feels uncannily like Latin America's dark past of military rule.

In the three months since soldiers overthrew leftist President Manuel Zelaya and marched him out of the country in his pajamas, international and Honduran human rights groups say security forces have committed a litany of abuses.
Lost on Reuters, apparently, is all of the reckless behavior of Zelaya who is the individual who should be feeling the most heat over all of the unrest there.

Between crossing into Honduras by foot to make some statement and his recent surfacing in the Brazilian embassy, it is clearly Zelaya who is inflaming any tensions in Honduras. Check out THIS verbiage!!
Repression of protests against the coup increased after Zelaya slipped back into the country on Sept 21, took refuge in the Brazilian embassy and called his backers onto the streets.
Note how repression increased after Zelaya surfaced in the Brazilian embassy and not BECAUSE of it.

UTTERLY PATHETIC, yes but it may indicate that Micheletti may be winning the standoff. Be sure to read the whole article.

Case in point. WND is reporting that Honduran Foreign Minister Patricia Rodas appears to be making a plea to the United Nations for more attention.
"It is getting worse every day," Rodas explained to a sparsely attended news conference at U.N. headquarters today.

The meeting with reporters was viewed as an attempt to gain attention for a campaign many have seen as "losing steam."
How interesting that the Reuters piece comes across as an attempt to carry the water for the likes of Rodas when it had been much less subjective in the past. This seems to indicate that Zelaya is losing (by extension, so is Obama) and Micheletti is winning.

Micheletti needs to KEEP HOLDING ON! He is on the right side of this fight.

VIDEO: HUGO CHAVEZ CALLS FOX STUPID

Remember, not only is this guy a tinpot dictator and supporter of ousted tinHAT dictator from Honduras, Manuel Zelaya (as is Obama) but he also seems to be aligned with Obama when it comes to Fox News.

The perfect 2 minute microcosm of a leftwing mind. I had no idea that Chavez was so well versed on Saul Alinsky.

Note the stages that take place in this interview.

STAGE 1: Chavez is interested in giving a television reporter an interview while attempting to portray professionalism and graciousness.

STAGE 2: After not liking the question posed by the reporter, which had to do with why Chavez viewed a Holocaust denier like Ahmadinejad as a friend, Chavez aks the reporter where he's from. After hearing, "Fox News", Chavez launches into insult mode and actually quotes Sean Penn, calling people who work for fox, "El stupido".

STAGE 3: When the insults don't intimidate the reporter, who lets said insults fly by, the reporter follows-up with another similar question about Ahmadinejad. Chavez responds by changing the subject and elevating his tone.

STAGE 4: Chavez comes unhinged while getting self-righteous about a subject that had nothing to do with anything the reporter asked.

CZECH PRESIDENT CALLS B.S. ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Czech President Vaclav Klaus has the kind of guts shown by a certain leader of another small country (Roberto Micheletti of Honduras). Not to fall victim to the Group Think perpetrated against clear thinking people, Klaus called out the climate change rhetoric that was in abundance at the U.N.

REUTERS reported Klaus as saying:
"It was sad and it was frustrating," said Klaus, one of the world's most vocal skeptics on the topic of global warming.

"It's a propagandistic exercise where 13-year-old girls from some far-away country perform a pre-rehearsed poem," he said. "It's simply not dignified."
What a shame that other leaders who know he's telling the truth didn't stand with him.

Recently, Glenn Beck started calling for senators and congressmen to come forward as the 56 new "RE-Founding Fathers". So far, I believe he has two. Micheletti and Klaus have the guts and mindset that Beck seems to be looking for. The last two paragraphs of the Reuters article illustrate plainly that Klaus "gets it".
Klaus published a book in 2007 on the worldwide campaign to stop climate change entitled "Blue Planet in Green Chains: What Is Under Threat -- Climate or Freedom?"

In the book, Klaus said global warming has turned into a new religion, an ideology that threatens to undermine freedom and the world's economic and social order.
How many national leaders with more pull and bigger countries know the truth too and are too cowardly to join Klaus.

I think we have the perfect ticket for the 2012 U.S. presidential race.

Micheletti / Klaus 2012!

Need Clarification on the Pope's Encyclical

Not sure how many people are disturbed by the potential implications of the Pope of the Roman Catholic church taking a formal stance on how to fix a global economy but there were definitely parts of it that raised my eyebrows. The encyclical that he released this week seems to call for granting increased powers to worldy forces.

Is Pope Benedict really adovcating that some sort of world body like the U.N. be involved in fixing our economic woes?

How should we interpret this?
In the face of the unrelenting growth of global interdependence, there is a strongly felt need, even in the midst of a global recession, for a reform of the United Nations Organization, and likewise of economic institutions and international finance, so that the concept of the family of nations can acquire real teeth.

Or this....
there is urgent need of a true world political authority

Or perhaps...
Such an authority would need to be regulated by law, to observe consistently the principles of subsidiarity and solidarity, to seek to establish the common good, and to make a commitment to securing authentic integral human development inspired by the values of charity in truth.

Regulated by law? Who's going to do the regulating? The United States is a nation of laws that its leaders don't seem to have to follow because they're not accountable to anyone. Imagine that on STEROIDS!

This struck me initially and personally as disconcerting...

Here is a link to the entire Encyclical

Bible Gateway has commentary on Revelation 13..
The apostle, standing on the shore, saw a savage beast rise out of the sea; a tyrannical, idolatrous, persecuting power, springing up out of the troubles which took place. It was a frightful monster! It appears to mean that worldly, oppressing dominion, which for many ages, even from the times of the Babylonish captivity, had been hostile to the church.

If the government of the most free nation in the history of the world (United States) can become corrupt and tyrannical, why on earth would anyone believe that a one-world governing authority wouldn't be much much worse?

Forgive me but hearing the Pope talk about a "family of nations" acquiring "real teeth" is a bit troubling.
