Wanna know how insanely lax our immigration enforcement is? Look no further than North Carolina. At a State Assembly meeting, illegal aliens donned orange shirts that said, "Undocumented and Unafraid" and disrupted the state's legislative business.
In a sane world, such people would be hiding out of fear that they would be deported but in the Obama world, there is no such fear. According one report, none of these people were subsequently deported, which is what should have happened.
As for the mantra on their t-shirts, it apparently hasn't dawned on these illegal aliens that the reason they are so "unafraid" is because they know they can get away with it. If they're so courageous, why don't they go to their home countries and protest their government on issues that cause them to leave in the first place?
It would be a whole lot easier to have compassion for these people if they weren't so arrogant, rude, and disrespectful to the country that is giving them a better life.
How about a dose of humility, whackos?

OWS Dormant, not Dead
Back in late September of 2011, Van Jones predicted that OWS protesters would bring about an 'American autumn' similar to the 'Arab Spring' and he put all of his eggs in the October basket. Though OWS did raise a ruckus, a stink, and many other undesirable things all across the country, they proved to be a very expensive and violent nuisance more than anything else. The movement dragged on into the winter months and appeared to disintegrate.
Now there seems to be chatter that OWS will be coming out of its collective hole in the spring, leading up to the main event at the Democratic convention in September, to be held in Charlotte, NC.
Via WND:
Here is Van Jones on September 29, 2011. Fast forward to the 2:00 mark. Based on what he was predicting, OWS didn't accomplish what he wanted it to, which is why it's important to be vigilant in the spring. If OWS gives it another whirl, they're likely to be more violent.

Via WND:
A coalition of U.S. radical groups, including the Occupy Movement, are preparing protests to target the Democratic National Convention in September in Charlotte, N.C.Klein reports too, that OWS appears to already be setting up shop in Chicago, which is where both the NATO and G8 summits will be held.
The Occupy movement is likely to escalate months before the Sept. 3-6 event. A slew of extremist organizations, some tied to President Obama, are preparing protests to coincide with major NATO and G-8 summits slated for Chicago in May.
Foreshadowing possible violent confrontations, some of the same radical trainers behind the infamous 1999 Seattle riots against the World Trade Organization have been mobilizing new protest efforts geared toward world summits.
The plans for the Democratic convention are posted on a central website, ProtestDNC.org. More than three dozen organizations, including labor, anti-war and so-called civil rights and immigrants rights groups are joining together to initiate a coalition.

Audio: NC Governor Bev Perdue a Horrible Joke-Teller
When news broke earlier this week that North Carolina Governor, Bev Perdue (D) suggested at a Rotary club event that the 2012 elections should be suspended, there was a predictable backlash; it was swift and immediate. A reaction from Perdue's office was practically unavoidable. So, what was that reaction? Well, she wasn't really serious; she was just joking. Perhaps team Perdue would like a do-over on that excuse because the audio of the governor's actual comments have now come out and her office has officially dashed any hopes Perdue may have had to enter the comedy business.

North Carolina Governor (D) Suggests Suspending Elections
There is a quote loosely attributed to FDR that says, 'In politics, nothing happens by accident.' The comments of North Carolina governor Bev Perdue at a Rotary luncheon this week may or may not apply but when she suggested that the 2012 elections be suspended, there was definitely a reaction. Almost immediately, there was a backlash to Perdue's suggestion that it might be better for the country if politicians were focused on getting the economy going instead of on their next election.
Via Daily Caller:
When the backlash to her comments, which was both swift and forceful, became apparent, Perdue's team attempted to play down her comments:
In November of 2010, the Democratic Party suffered a political earthquake, the likes of which it hasn't seen in a century. A message was sent and, so far, Democrats have thumbed their collective noses at those who delivered it - the voters. Perdue is staring at the very real possibility that the tsunami that's likely in 2012 will make 2010 look like a ripple. It's an interesting coincidence that at about the same time Perdue was calling for a suspension of elections, Obama adviser David Axelrod expressed concern that those elections would be a 'titanic struggle' for the Democrats. Not only that but just two weeks ago, former Obama OMB Director Peter Orszag suggested that America could use a little less Democracy.
Moreover, in 2012, there are 21 Democratic Senators up for reelection and only 10 Republicans.
Perdue's words were not meant as a joke; they reflect an extreme level of desperation and fear. They are also likely to backfire by becoming the source of many a campaign ad. The fact that Perdue is governor of the state hosting the convention only adds fuel to the fire.

Via Daily Caller:
North Carolina Democratic Governor Bev Perdue’s recommendation that congressional elections be suspended may cause collateral damage to the Democratic Party, her Republican critics speculate.Additionally, Perdue is governor of the state slated to host the 2012 Democratic National Convention. It would seem that her comments certainly don't serve to benefit turnout.
On Tuesday Perdue recommended suspending elections until the economy recovers. “I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover,” Perdue said at a rotary club event in Cary, N.C., according to the Raleigh News & Observer. “I really hope that someone can agree with me on that.”
The shocking statement is destined for a long shelf life ahead of the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C.
When the backlash to her comments, which was both swift and forceful, became apparent, Perdue's team attempted to play down her comments:
When news broke about Perdue’s suggestion, the governor’s press team quickly asserted that she was joking.Aside from the fact that the very politicians Perdue wants to leave in office to fix the economy are the same ones (Democrats, mainly) largely responsible for breaking it, there is likely a bigger reason for her floating this absurd idea.
“Come on … Gov. Perdue was obviously using hyperbole to highlight what we can all agree is a serious problem: Washington politicians who focus on their own election instead of what’s best for the people they serve,” Perdue spokesman Chris Mackey said in an email to TheDC.

FBI TAKES DOWN JIHADISTS IN NORTH CAROLINA
The good news: Seven would-be Jihadists in North Carolina allegedly preparing to wage Jihad overseas were busted by the FBI. Six of them are American citizens.
The bad news: It doesn't appear that charges of treason will be levied against the six who are citizens:
Here's the FULL REPORT.
Since they don't wear uniforms, they're not POW's. Instead, they're enemy combatants that are supposed to be WORSE than POW's. However, enemy combatants are being treated better than POW's because there's no clearly established way of dealing with them. It has caused political fits for America.
Taking that one step further, let's take a look at domestic terrorists. Islamic terrorists seek to become citizens of the United States because they seek protections afforded by our Constitution (including the right to vote) while terrorists in this country who are not citizens don't receive such rights and protections.
Until we decide that domestic enemies of this country who are also U.S. citizens should be charged with treason, Jihadists will continue to see citizenship as another layer of protection instead of seeing it as a poison pill.
Bringing back Treason and narrowing the focus on citizens of the United States who are engaging violent Islamic Jihad would ultimately serve two purposes.
1.) A clear way of dealing with Jihadists who've become U.S. citizens in order to get Constitutional protections.
2.) A deterrent to violent Jihadist foreign nationals becoming citizens
ARTICLE III, SEC. 3 OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION:
Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
The Congress shall have power to declare the punishment of treason, but no attainder of treason shall work corruption of blood, or forfeiture except during the life of the person attainted.

The bad news: It doesn't appear that charges of treason will be levied against the six who are citizens:
The seven men arrested—including a father and his two sons—were charged with providing material support to terrorists and conspiring to murder, kidnap, maim, and injure people overseas.Forgive my cynicism but haven't we learned from our experiences in how to handle terrorists.
