OBAMA FROM CONNECTICUT?

The Birther issue is one I decided quite some time ago was a distraction not worth spending much time on. That said, this latest story, which may only be tied to birther-gate tangentially, could have some substance to it. Is it true that Barack Obama is using a Social Security number issued from the state of Connecticut? If so, the next logical question would be why? He has no ties to that state and never listed it as a place of residence.

Jerome Corsi reports on this extremely curious development at World Net Daily:
Two private investigators working independently are asking why President Obama is using a Social Security number set aside for applicants in Connecticut while there is no record he ever had a mailing address in the state.

In addition, the records indicate the number was issued between 1977 and 1979, yet Obama's earliest employment reportedly was in 1975 at a Baskin-Robbins ice-cream shop in Oahu, Hawaii.
Those two private investigators are Susan Daniels, licensed in Ohio and John N. Sampson who is from Colorado. Both Daniels and Sampson have claimed to identify the first three numbers of Obama's Social Security number as starting with 042. Connecticut is the only state to have issued numbers that started with 040 - 049.

Is fraud the only explanation for this? According to Daniels, it is:
"There is obviously a case of fraud going on here," Daniels maintained. "In 15 years of having a private investigator's license in Ohio, I've never seen the Social Security Administration make a mistake of issuing a Connecticut Social Security number to a person who lived in Hawaii. There is no family connection that would appear to explain the anomaly."
Daniels goes on to say that she is "staking (her) reputation" on the number being "fraudulent".

There is even more on the date this alleged social security number was issued; it was well after Obama had previously worked in Hawaii. Having two social security numbers is illegal so the logical conclusions would necessarily be that either Obama worked illegally in Hawaii or he was issued two Social Security numbers. As is the case with so much about this president, it doesn't pass the smell test.

Reading this story jogged my memory about the extremely questionable aspects surrounding Obama's Selective Service registration. Debbie Schlussel did an extensive report on it back in November, 2008.

VIDEO: WHEN OBAMA TALKED ABOUT THE EGO OF OTHERS

In 2005, Bush's approval ratings were on a downward slide, never to recover. Anyone need reminded of the 2006 elections? Social Security reform was almost exactly as popular as Obama's health care monstrosity. The difference is that taking a government program and privatizing it, which was the proposal for social security, is a much better idea than taking a private industry and making it government run.

Video from 2005. Obama tells Republicans to "let go of their egos".

Yikes.

VIDEO: BUSH IN 2006 ON SOCIAL SECURITY REFORM

My list of problems with the Bush administration is extensive indeed but 43's attempt at social security reform wasn't one of them. Check out this video from 2006 in which he addressed both houses of congress. Bush makes a joke about himself and Bill Clinton being two of his dad's favorite people. Hillary was thrilled.

Two things to watch for.
1.) The look on Hillary's face after Bush makes the joke
2.) Hillary's excitement when Bush alludes to congress blocking SS reform

In light of today's health care debate, I doubt that the sort of joke Bush told would fly now (or be written into the speech) because politicians being challenged on their health care plans vs. what they're proposing for the rest of us has been a sore spot to say the least. The same applies to social security for two former presidents. Anyone think Bill or W. are relying on their social security checks?

For the record, the closeness between George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton has always disturbed me a great deal. Based on what is known about the latter, one would think that 41's association with him would be nothing more than a cordial, office respecting distance. It's been much more than that over the years and I don't think it can be excused away by saying there are so few people who share the experience that it's a brotherhood no one can understand. Bush Sr. has always carried himself as a statesman and he lowers himself when he's chummy with Bill Clinton, despite any history or experiences they share.

That said, #43's attempt at Social Security reform was a valid endeavor and the truth about those who opposed it (who is the party of "no" again?) is rearing its head only a short three years later.

IOUs: First California, Now Social Security??

Rising Debt, Deficits, and talk of a second stimulus even after the initial "stimulus" of $787 Billion is "falling flat" to use a Sotomayor quote. With that as a backdrop, we learn that International holders are selling our debt faster than they're buying it.

Doug Ross reports on this colossal and ongoing development. Here he delivers the anti-money quote.
The Pelosi-Obama-Reid fiscal disaster is about to dissolve the full faith and credit of the currency. And Social Security checks to our seniors, who've worked for decades contributing to a non-existent "trust fund", may be at risk. The extent of criminality involved here makes Bernard Madoff look like a shoplifter.
The good news is that the Democrats are being forcefully unmasked. The bad news is they think they have a better one and the American people will let them put it on.

When you're $10 Trillion in debt and world markets are net sellers of that debt, it doesn't bode well. I'm not an economist but I feel like our nation is on the brink of an international toxic mortgage crisis. Bad for us is that American paper might just be the toxic debt.

Compelling and maddening all rolled into one. Translation: a MUST READ
