Yes, we're 15 months out from the election but one of these people will almost certainly be the Republican nominee. Ron Paul was his normal 'Jekyl and Hyde' self when it comes to domestic / foreign policy; Newt came across as being more than just mildly perturbed; Bachmann and Pawlenty had some charged exchanges; Santorum and Paul did as well.

SECRETARY OF LOGIC'S PIECE IN DALLAS MORNING NEWS

Texas talk show host Lynn Woolley nails what's wrong with the DREAM ACT in his latest column that appears in the Dallas Morning News. Aside from pointing out the eye-rolling string of words that make up the acronym that IS the Dream Act, Woolley highlights the incrementalism that is inherently part of the bill as well. As of today, an illegal alien woman can give birth to a legal American citizen simply by doing so on American soil. This new bill would allow that same woman to have given birth to that same child in Mexico five years ago but only bring that child to America to make him / her legal.

Lynn Woolley: Why the Dream Act should fail

By some strange quirk of fate, the initials of the Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors legislation now being considered by our lame duck Congress spells "DREAM." It should spell "AMNESTY," but that wouldn't have sent the right message to compassionate taxpayers who are being asked to give away the store.

The "store" in this case is a big prize: The act offers legal status to immigrants younger than 35 if they arrived in the United States before age 16 and if they complete two years of military service or college.

The Dream Act is the brainchild of liberal members of Congress, championed by Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin, who for years has been attaching it in some form to various pieces of legislation. It is a key component to the so-called "path to citizenship" that various immigrant groups have been demanding.

One of those groups is the Immigration Policy Center, which has issued a long list of reasons the Dream Act should be passed. Mostly, the IPC argues on humanitarian grounds that it's simply the right thing to do: "[Undocumented youth] have the potential to be future doctors, nurses, teachers and entrepreneurs, but they experience unique hurdles to achieving success in this country."

The argument is a non sequitur. Most of the students who are in the country legally have such potential, so what is the compelling reason to replace them in the pecking order for tough-to-get slots at the University of Texas or Texas A&M with students who are undocumented?

LYNN WOOLLEY TARGETS MSNBC AND ALEX JONES

From Studio 'L' in Texas, the Secretary of Logic, Lynn Woolley, is calling out MSNBC and Chris Matthews over the documentary intended to demonize the Tea Party Movement by, in part, attempting to paint another Texas-based talk show host, Alex Jones, as the face of the Tea Party. Lynn's emails from Jones supporters have definitely picked up.

Worst of all was Matthews holding up conspiracy-based radio host Alex Jones as a representative of the movement. Jones told Matthews that the country has entered the phase of “deep tyranny,” and that some mysterious force is planning to eradicate up to 99% of the population. But Jones has nothing to do with the Tea Party—and in fact is on videotape disrupting an Austin Tea Party rally with his bullhorn. He’s also associated with “truthers” who contend that 9/11 was an inside job.

Jones cooperated with Matthews, said the most outrageous things he could for the cameras, and then later complained that MSNBC was biased. Please.

The Tea Party, or more correctly, the Bottom-Up Government movement, isn’t about conspiracy nuts or militias or truthers. It comes from the spirit of Samuel Adams who helped organize the original Tea Party to fight back at a government that acted against the will of the people. It is based on the Jeffersonian concept, outlined in the Declaration of Independence, that “Governments are instituted among men deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”

A significant number of Americans have withdrawn their consent. And that’s what Chris Matthews and MSNBC don’t understand.

Tancredo's response: "Barrack is right." Needless to say, I will be pulling that clip and incorporating it into my show intro.

FAIR CONFERENCE: DAY 1 PHOTOS

This morning, the Lynn Woolley Show broadcast live from the 2nd floor of the Phoenix Park Hotel. FAIR puts on an extremely organized and sound event, culminating in the "We the People" Immigration Reform Awards Ceremony & Reception. Glenn Beck received one of the words and accepted via video.

Energy level high all day with one low point. After walking one hour to see Archie Bunker's chair at the American History Museum, we learned that the floor on which it sits is being renovated so no picture. Although, I was able to make a comment about Obama at one of the workers and her reaction told me all I needed to know - she's a fan.
