Obama in 2011: Executive Order Amnesty Illegal

I'm far more often than not, in agreement with the conservative activists who were at Right Online this weekend, but not this time. Apparently, a consensus among the group was that the Daily Caller's Neil Munro was wrong in challenging Obama at the rose garden as the president's announcement that an Executive Order had been signed to grant amnesty to 2-3 million illegal aliens.

Even if it were conceded that Munro was rightfully chastised, the offense committed by Obama is so much worse that Munro's actions should have been rendered insignificant. In my view, they're warranted. As I've said before, at some point, Obama's actions need to be seen as provoking these responses. The president blatantly lies and breaks the law while the story is how others don't respect the office of the presidency?!

Recap: On September 9, 2009, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) shouts, 'You Lie' at Obama during a joint session of Congress, after Obama said Obamacare would not apply to illegal aliens. In March, 2011, Obama told Univision's Jorge Ramos that using Executive Orders to grant amnesty to illegal aliens was against the law. On June 15, Obama signed the Executive Order he admitted over a year earlier, was illegal for him to sign.

Let's also not forget that when Obama granted amnesty on June 15th, Joe Wilson was shown to be right.

Yet, Neil Munro is the bad guy?

Here's video of Obama in 2011 saying that what he did in 2012 would be illegal.

Take That, Race-baiters: 1987 Story on Reporters Shouting at Reagan

The liberal, race-baiting whackos over at MSNBC who seem to think that no president has been so disrespected publicly, point to Joe Wilson, Jan Brewer, and Neil Munro as proof positive that it has more to dow the color of Obama's skin than his propensity for lying about things like never belonging to a socialist political party. Well, thanks to Tom Blumer at NewsBusters, we learn from none other than one of the left's own propaganda arms - the AP in 1987 - that Ronald Reagan endured similar treatment.

Another common refrain from the left is that Munro should have waited until After Obama was done speaking before lobbing any questions the President's way. Munro's response to that argument is that Obama doesn't stick around to answer questions. That was the knock on Reagan in the AP report, which goes a step further, saying that Reagan was to blame for doing so.

Does anyone know the Heimlich maneuver? The irony I'm choking on has blocked by airways.

That all leads me to this exchange via NewsBusters on MSNBC between two race-baiters - Michael Eric Dyson and POLITICO's Joe 'Brother Joe' Williams. Note how Williams said no president has been disrespected more than Obama and then implies it's all because of racism.

DIS-GRACE

Video: Bill O'Reilly Channels John McCain over heckler in Rose Garden

Bill O'Reilly, once again, shows himself to be more interested in a public perception that he is above the fray than in taking a principled stand. First, he refers to Obama's granting amnesty to 2-3 million illegal aliens as "humane," spending no time on the fact that the president has circumvented Congress in an illegal and unconstitutional power grab to secure more votes (and put more illegals on Obamacare rolls - see Joe Wilson).

Then, he channels John McCain who, after Rep. Joe Wilson shouted, 'You Lie' at Obama in a 2009 during a Joint Session of Congress, demanded Wilson apologize. O'Reilly falls back on the same argument when talking about the exchange between Neil Munro and Obama in the rose garden, saying that regardless of what you think of the President, the office of the Presidency must be respected. That's a fair point but it's Obama who is disrespecting the office far more than Wilson or Munro.

At some point, doesn't Obama become responsible for these reactions? Lying to the country in 2008 about being a member of the socialist New Party should absolutely anger people. Perhaps Bill O'Reilly should crack open Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. Use of those tactics by Obama is like breathing for most people. He knows that these overreaching actions will get reactions. Alinsky taught how to get your opponents to react to your advantage.
“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.” -Saul Alinsky
Obama knows this and O'Reilly, who has taken the bait, does not.
