It is not an exaggeration to compare what went on in the abortion clinic of Kermit Gosnell to what took place in Nazi Germany. We were told over and over again by the pro-abortion crowd that Gosnell's Philadelphia clinic was an 'outlier.' Now, thanks to Live Action, we have evidence of two more 'outliers' - one in New York City (Video #1) and the other in Washington, D.C. (Video #2). In fact, the people working at these 'clinics' seem to match perfectly the profile of many of the Nazis put on trial at Nuremberg.
Those who come to the trials expecting to find sadistic monsters are generally disappointed. What is shocking about Nuremberg is the ordinariness of the defendants: men who may be good fathers, kind to animals, even unassuming--yet who committed unspeakable crimes. Years later, reporting on the trial of Adolf Eichmann, Hannah Arendt wrote of "the banality of evil." Like Eichmann, most Nuremberg defendants never aspired to be villains. Rather, they over-identified with an ideological cause and suffered from a lack of imagination or empathy: they couldn't fully appreciate the human consequences of their career-motivated decisions.
Another characteristic of the Nazis was that the longer they engaged in the heinous behaviors, the less it affected them. The demeanor of this clinic employee says it all. She boasts that she's seen a lot over the eleven years that she has worked there. When you watch how calmly this clinic worker tells her would-be patient to flush her baby down the toilet if she gives birth after being given a treatment but before she can return the clinic, you will know exactly what is meant by the term, 'banality of evil'.
As for Gosnell's clinic being an 'outlier'... Do you honestly think that people who endorse / commit this kind of evil wouldn't lie about it?
In this clinic, the male worker essentially admits that if a baby survives a botched abortion in his clinic, they 'will not help it'. This is a violation of federal law, which he seems quite banal about breaking:
Of course, add to these 'outliers' in Philadelphia, New York, and Washington, D.C. this exchange between the Florida state legislature and a Planned Parenthood lobbyist, who clearly has an agenda that includes not helping babies born alive after surviving an abortion.
Why would the largest abortion provider - Planned Parenthood - take such a position in an entire state? Just how many 'outliers' are there in Florida?
Or is that a banal question?
Oh, and then there's this so perhaps we can add Delaware to the 'outlier' list, not to mention all of the other despicable revelations about what Planned Parenthood does.
As the morbid and gory details of the Kermit Gosnell trial were being brought to light, Planned Parenthood realized it couldn't rely on people remaining uninformed. It needed a new strategy. It chose to denounce Gosnell's clinic and identify it as an outlier. Hot Air puts it this way:
Proof positive that we’ve reached a new phase of Gosnell damage control. Plan A: Ignore, ignore, ignore. Plan B: If Plan A becomes impossible, use Gosnell as some sort of exception that proves the rule about why, counterintuitively, America needs easier access to abortion.
So that's PP's plan?
PP would have you believe that its "clinics" are safer and cleaner than Gosnell's was. Gosnell's "clinic" hadn't been inspected since 1993. Perhaps PP will argue that it is inspected with much greater regularity. Aside from that, perhaps we can also assume that none of the PP clinics saved babies' feet in jars, like Gosnell did. Once again, that's likely a distinction with not much of a difference if babies are murdered in similar ways.
As for inspections of PP "clinics", well as you'll see in the news report below, PP is essentially responsible for inspecting itself.
Take note at the end of the report when the anchor clarifies with the reporter that PP prides itself on having the most sanitary conditions in its "clinics," compared to those of non-PP "clinics".
Via ABC 6 in Philadelphia (h/t GWP) about a PP "clinic" in Delaware:
Any charges of he said / she said in a disgruntled employee / employer relationship between the two former employees and the clinic ring hollow in light of the multiple 911 calls to the local hospital because women were overly medicated or otherwise in danger. We also have the case of other employees suddenly leaving. The conditions described by these employees are eerily reminiscent of what witnesses described took place at Gosnell's abortuary - unsanitary conditions, blood all over the place, etc. What's truly amazing is how at least one of the employees bemoans the state of the "clinic" and its safety while almost immune to the murders.
Now, as for conditions inside PP "clinics" compared to non-PP "clinics"...
If PP is going to argue that it doesn't perform the late-term abortions Gosnell was performing, all one has to look at is PP lobbyist Alisa LaPolt Snow in front of the Florida legislature last month. She essentially admitted that babies born alive in botched abortions should be legally murdered.
Let us also not forget that after PP President Cecile Richards was caught lying on a massive scale when she claimed that her organization doesn't just perform abortions but also things like mammograms.

Or how about this? PP "clinic" in New York City helps a pimp pose as a "guardian" for one of his prostitutes.
Then, of course, how about those instances of requesting abortions inside PP "clinics" because the sex of the unborn baby was not right?
At the bottom of this post is an extremely important documentary entitled 3801 Lancaster. It is solely about the horror story that took place inside Kermit Gosnell's "clinic". Like many of the Nazis before him, Gosnell is essentially on trial for his crimes against humanity.
Godwin's Law states that the longer a debate goes on, the greater the possibility that comparisons involving Hitler or Nazis will be made and that the person who makes those charges actually ends / loses the argument. In the case of Dr. Kermit Gosnell and his Philadelphia aborturary, those comparisons are valid right out of the gate. Those who don't make said comparisons risk losing the debate.
The Limbaugh theorem states that no matter how much damage Barack Obama is directly responsible for, he always escapes culpability because he is so successful at keeping his fingerprints off the levers that cause such damage when they're pulled. Obama essentially pulls those levers while wearing latex gloves and then is seen as someone who is trying to fix the problem. That's not the case when one looks at his votes on abortion while a State Senator in Illinois.
Check out this excerpt from a 2008 Wall Street Journal article by Daniel Allott:
As an Illinois state senator, Barack Obama twice opposed legislation to define as "persons" babies who survive late-term abortions... Mr. Obama said in a speech on the Illinois Senate floor that he could not accept that babies wholly emerged from their mother's wombs are "persons," and thus deserving of equal protection under the Constitution's 14th Amendment.
This brings us both to the trial of a 21st Century Nazi named Gosnell, who personally murdered countless babies that either survived abortions or were simply born alive before they could be aborted. Save for the conditions in Gosnell's Philadelphia abortuary and the death of at least one adult who was over-medicated, Obama cannot argue against what Gosnell did to those babies; the president opposed legislation that would make such things illegal in his state.
When one correctly accepts the premise that the mainstream media is little more than a series of little ventriloquist dummies for the Obama administration's ventriloquist apparatchiks, the aforementioned points of agreement between Obama and Gosnell provide all one needs in order to understand why the mainstream media has been so reluctant to cover Gosnell's trial.
Fortunately, at least one liberal - Kirsten Powers - has not abandoned intellectual honesty. In a recent op-ed that appeared in USA Today, Powers wrote:
Infant beheadings. Severed baby feet in jars. A child screaming after it was delivered alive during an abortion procedure. Haven't heard about these sickening accusations?
It's not your fault. Since the murder trial of Pennsylvania abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell began March 18, there has been precious little coverage of the case that should be on every news show and front page. The revolting revelations of Gosnell's former staff, who have been testifying to what they witnessed and did during late-term abortions, should shock anyone with a heart.
NBC-10 Philadelphia reported that, Stephen Massof, a former Gosnell worker, "described how he snipped the spinal cords of babies, calling it, 'literally a beheading. It is separating the brain from the body." One former worker, Adrienne Moton, testified that Gosnell taught her his "snipping" technique to use on infants born alive.
How can one find any difference between that and what Obama supported as an Illinois State Senator? Any attempts to do so would reveal distinctions without differences.
Remember this during the 2008 campaign?
Here is Senator Barbara Boxer (D-CA) in 1999 on the Senate floor, telling then Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) that a baby is not a person until it's taken home (poor audio):
Like Obama, Boxer may - for political reasons - take issue with the conditions in Gosnell's abortuary and the death of an adult there but based on her position, she can't really take issue with his murdering these babies before they go home.
When Generals Dwight Eisenhower and George Patton visited the Ohrdrup concentration camp after liberating it from the Nazis, the former sent a cable to George Marshall that relayed his eye witness account from the pit of hell. To illustrate how heinous was the carnage that Eisenhower saw, even Patton's war-hardened, cast iron stomach wasn't enough to allow him to look at it all.
"The visual evidence and the verbal testimony of starvation, cruelty and bestiality were so overpowering as to leave me a bit sick. In one room, where they were piled up twenty or thirty naked men, killed by starvation, George Patton would not even enter. He said that he would get sick if he did so. I made the visit deliberately, in order to be in a position to give first-hand evidence of these things if ever, in the future, there develops a tendency to charge these allegations merely to 'propaganda'."
In the Philadelphia abortuary run by Gosnell, an evil very much on par with what Patton and Eisenhower discovered in Nazi concentration camps is coming to light in a courtroom not all that dissimilar from one during the Nuremberg trials... if people are willing to admit it.
During the first of those trials, prosecutor Robert Jackson said the following in his opening statement:
"The wrongs which we seek to condemn and punish have been so calculated, so malignant, and so devastating that civilization cannot tolerate their being ignored because it cannot survive their being repeated."
How is this dissimilar from what happened on Gosnell's watch, in his office?
The Philadelphia Inquirer's Joseph Slobodzian, who has been covering the trial daily, reported the following:
Testifying under a plea agreement with prosecutors, Williams, 44, had told the Common Pleas Court jury of a time when she followed Gosnell's practice of "snipping" the spines of late-term fetuses born alive during abortions.
One of her duties, Williams said, was to clean up and dispose of fetuses some women spontaneously aborted in the waiting room after getting large doses of drugs to dilate the cervix.
One day, Williams testified, a woman expelled a fetus into the toilet and she saw its arm moving. Williams said she took a pair of scissors and snipped the spine as Gosnell showed her.
"I did it once and I didn't do it again because it gave me the creeps," Williams said.
Consider the testimony of Marie Claude Vallant-Courturier at Nuremberg. She was a holocaust survivor from France.
Vallant-Couturier described how a Nazi orchestra played happy tunes as soldiers separated those destined for slave labor from those that would be gassed. She told of a night she was "awakened by horrible cries. The next day we learned that the Nazis had run out of gas and the children had been hurled into the furnaces alive."
Babies / children being hurled into furnaces or toilets is, as mentioned earlier, a distinction without a difference.
It was a scene the Philadelphia District Attorney called "a house of horrors." A warning to readers, some of the details in this story are gruesome.
West Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell is on trial for running an abortion clinic in which he allegedly killed babies who had survived illegal, late-term abortions, and where a woman allegedly died of a botched painkiller injection.
Charges were brought against Gosnell a little over two years ago. Here is Philadelphia District Attorney Seth Williams in an interview with CNN at the time. Note how the detail provided by Williams actually causes the anchor to stop him, saying none of it has been proven. Williams, who appears a bit taken aback, ultimately asserts that he's merely relaying grand jury testimony.
Think it's a stretch to compare Gosnell to a Nazi? Well, didn't the Nazis seek to murder Jewish children?
Heinrich Himmler, head of the SS, was determined to exterminate all Jewish children. His policy was set out in the secret speech he gave at Poznan, Poland on October 6, 1943.
“I do not consider it justifiable to exterminate the men, meaning to kill them or get them to be killed, while allowing the revengers, in the form of children, to grow up and face our sons and grandsons,” said Himmler.
The Nazis deliberately killed children: the toll of minors in the Holocaust is estimated at as much as 1.5 million.

Race-baiting, Alinsky-acolyte Chris Matthews has practically been hyperventilating at the prospect of the white supremacist group - Aryan Brotherhood of Texas - being responsible for the murders of two District Attorneys in Kaufman County, Texas (Mark Hasse on January 31st and Mike McLelland on Easter weekend) and the Executive Director of the Colorado state prison system, Tom Clements.
As Breitbart's Brandon Darby points out, the mainstream media in general has been eager to push this narrative as well.
Once established, the premise is easy to understand. The likes of Chris Matthews and the rest of the Obama media are attempting to compare these white supremacists to conservatives, Tea Partiers, and Republicans. As is so often the case with these leftists, any time they attempt to make these connections, they usually implicate themselves.
This is where, once again, the left runs into huge problems.
First, take the case of Clements' murder. The primary suspect is the now deceased Evan Ebel, whose father - a Democrat - is close friends with Colorado's Democratic Governor, John Hickenlooper. In an interview with Denver's NBC affiliate, Hickenlooper admitted that Jack Ebel - Evan's father - contributed to his campaign.
Hickenlooper confirmed his relationship with Jack Ebel to The Denver Post and KUSA-TV Friday evening and then in a written statement Friday night. State records show Ebel donated $1,050 to the governor's 2010 campaign. But there's no indication that Hickenlooper's relationship with the Ebels played a role in the shooting.
Hickenlooper denied having any role in Evan Ebel's parole.
"Although Jack loved his son, he never asked me to intervene on his behalf and I never asked for any special treatment for his son," Hickenlooper's written statement said.
Though Hickenlooper may be telling the truth, he's a Democrat and if there's one thing we know about Democrats, it's that they lie with impunity.
Here is a video from March 22nd, one day after Evan Ebel's death. In it, an NBC 9 reporter attempts to get some answers from Hickenlooper about his relationship with Jack Ebel and whether the contributions to Hickenlooper's campaign prompted the Colorado Governor to talk to Clements about the son of his friend.
It's already been reported that Evan Ebel was released four years earlier than he should have been. We have also been told that solitary confinement got to Evan and may be responsible for making him become more violent / crazy.
Attorney Jack Ebel testified before the Colorado Legislature two years ago that solitary confinement in a Colorado prison was destroying the psyche of his son, Evan.
When Jack Ebel's longtime friend, Gov. John Hickenlooper, was interviewing a Missouri corrections official for the top prisons job in Colorado, he mentioned the case as an example of why the prison system needed reform. And once Tom Clements came to Colorado, he eased the use of solitary confinement and tried to make it easier for people housed there to re-enter society.
If there is an aspect to the charge that Evan Ebel murdered Clements that doesn't make any sense, it's that Ebel was released four years early while Clements was in charge of decisions relative to parole and had already begun to ease up on solitary confinement. In that respect, Clements was not someone that Ebel should have targeted.
At about the 3:25 mark, the reporter asks a question that sets Hickenlooper off (a must-watch).
Now, consider the case of D.A. Mike McLelland. While MSNBC's Chris Matthews was visibly wishing that "white supremacists" were involved in McLelland's murder, he overlooked two things.
McLelland and his wife were both white (for that matter, so were Clements and Hasse).
McLelland won a three-way race in the 2010 Republican primary and ran unopposed in the general election. Burns said he and McLelland kept in touch "here and there" until January, when McLelland's assistant district attorney, Mark Hasse, was shot to death in a still-unsolved case.
Chris Matthews, et. al. are so desperate that they are willing to play up the narrative that 'white supremacists' (who are apparently tied to Democrats and who murdered whites and Republicans) are responsible for murdering... whites and Republicans.
On March 21st, two days after Tom Clements - the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Corrections - was murdered at his home in Monument, Colorado, a high speed car chase in Decatur, TX ended with the death of Evan Ebel, a parolee whom many view as the prime suspect in Clements' murder. Decatur is almost 700 miles from Monument.
Before Ebel's run-in with Texas law enforcement, the description of a car that sat outside Clements' home was relayed by at least one witness (possibly two), to authorities.
Colorado authorities are looking for a dark-colored ‘boxy,’ dark-colored, two-door 1990s-model car with green dashboard light seen idling for 15 minutes near Clements' house around the time of the shooting. The vehicle's engine was running and a witness reported seeing one person driving away in the car.
Here is Lt. Jeff Kramer on or about March 19th, giving a description of the vehicle of interest. Take note of how matter-of-factly Kramer states that the vehicle is a "two-door" vehicle.
Fast forward to March 21st, the day that Ebel met his end in Decatur, TX. The car he was driving can be described as "dark-colored" and "boxy" but it was definitely not a "two-door" vehicle. It was absolutely a four-door vehicle (see photo).
On a March 20th news report from NBC News 9 in Denver, the description again, is a two-door vehicle, witnessed by a female speed-walker (take note at the 2:30 mark):
**UPDATE** The description of the car being a two-door vehicle was made prior to this speed-walker being identified (as the NBC 9 report indicates). There are also no news stories I can find that identify the "speed-walker" as having been contacted prior to Ebel's death. In fact, in this March 21st report posted after Ebel's death, the "speed-walker" doesn't appear to have been identified at all. The question becomes: How many witnesses had identified the vehicle outside Clements' home as being "two-door"?
Clements' murder (and Ebel's death) took place after the murder of Kaufman County Assistant District Attorney Mark Hasse and before the murder of Kaufman County D.A. Mike McLelland, who - like Clements - was murdered in his own home, along with his wife Cynthia. Hasse was gunned down on Kaufman County courthouse steps in broad daylight on January 31st. Though Clements and the McLellands were murdered in similar fashion, Ebel met his end nine days before the McLellands were murdered, despite being roughly 100 miles away in Decatur, TX.
Conversely, this distance from where Clements was shot and Decatur, TX is nearly 800 miles.
As for Ebel's "dark-colored", "boxy" four-door vehicle, is it possible that he switched cars and that the two-door car was ditched? Based on his actions prior to meeting his own demise - coupled with what he didn't ditch, the answer to that question is: not likely.
Consider the evidence allegedly found in Ebel's vehicle. On Sunday, March 17th, two days prior to Clements' murder, a Domino's Pizza delivery man named Nathan Leon was murdered near Denver. Based on what was found in Ebel's trunk, evidence implicated him in Leon's murder as well.
...Bradford (Texas Ranger) wrote that the Cadillac also contained evidence that could be linked to the Denver police investigation of the Sunday slaying of Nathan Leon, a Denver Domino’s Pizza delivery man.
In the Cadillac’s open trunk,investigators saw an insulated Domino’s Pizza carrier and a Domino’s shirt or jacket, the affidavit said.
Think about this for a minute. If Ebel murdered Leon two days prior to murdering the top guy for Colorado's Department of Corrections at his home, why would Ebel leave evidence of the first murder in the car he was driving when he murdered Clements? We are talking about an experienced criminal here. It doesn't make sense.
That wasn't the only evidence found in the vehicle that seemed to implicate Ebel.
The El Paso County sheriff's office said that "unique and often microscopic markings" found on shell casings in Texas and Colorado leads investigators to conclude that the gun Evan Ebel used to shoot at authorities in Texas was the same gun used to kill Tom Clements at his home on Tuesday.
It had been known that the casings found at both scenes were of the same caliber and brand but Monday's announcement was the first time Colorado investigators made a direct link between Ebel and Clements' death.
It would seem we're dealing with an incredibly stupid criminal here. Think about this possible chain of events:
On Sunday, March 17th, Ebel murders a pizza delivery guy and puts the delivery box carrier and a shirt belonging to that guy, in his trunk.
Two days later, on March 19th, with murder evidence still in his trunk, Ebel drives to the home of Tom Clements and murders him, while keeping the murder weapon.
Two days after that, on March 21st, Ebel is in a high speed chase with police in Decatur, during which he shoots at them with the same gun he used to murder Clements, while also having evidence in his trunk that implicates him in the murder of a pizza delivery guy four days earlier.
This is the behavior of a murderer who had no interest in covering his tracks.
Let's take a look at some of the circumstances that allowed Ebel to be in a position to commit these murders in the first place.
Ebel was released from prison four years too early, on January 28th (incidentally, three days prior to Hasse's murder in Kaufman, TX) as a result of a clerical error.
On March 14th, three days before the murder of Leon, Ebel removed his ankle bracelet. Despite his being on "intensive supervised parole", authorities didn't take much interest in Ebel until the day of Clements' murder. In fact, a warrant wasn't issued for Ebel's arrest until the day after Clements was murdered.
Again, Ebel had to have known he was living on borrowed time when he allegedly murdered both Leon and Clements. Why would he seemingly want to implicate himself in those murders? It's as if he wanted to be caught and charged for committing them.
Who does that?
Ok, let's consider a narrative that would be incredibly beneficial to the Obama administration vs. one that would not. It's no secret that this administration has been waging class and race warfare ever since 2009; it thrives on such things. Identifying these murders as the actions of a white supremacist group like the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas would certainly be more preferable than pushing the notion that the killings were the work of say, Mexican drug cartels.
With so much evidence implicating Ebel, such a narrative is easier to push, is it not? While he's still the "alleged" murderer of Clements and Leon, the evidence that does exist appears to be so overwhelming that it's not far from being as obvious that Nidal Malik Hasan is the Fort Hood shooter.
The Obama administration would absolutely not want a narrative to take hold or evidence to come forth that Mexican drug cartels are behind these murders, primarily for two reasons:
The Immigration debate / border security - In 2011, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano insisted that the border with Mexico is "safer than it's ever been" while the Democratic Party and the administration she works for has stonewalled every attempt to enhance border security. If it turns out that Mexican drug cartels are murdering U.S. prosecutors, Obama, et. al. might finally have a lot of 'splaining to do.
Operation Fast and Furious - This operation was specifically designed to place high powered weapons into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Two of those weapons were found at the murder scene of Border Agent Brian Terry in 2010 in Peck Canyon, AZ. Hundreds of Mexicans have been murdered at the hands of those weapons as well. It'd be bad enough for the administration if Americans learned of cartel savagery firsthand; the former could start connecting real dots relative to what the ATF did when it gave these weapons to cartels. It'd be far more disastrous for Obama if any of the weapons used in the murder of Americans on American soil turn out to be Fast and Furious guns.
Brandon Darby over at Breitbart has a very interesting find relative to the Aryan Brotherhood and its willingness to work with the Mexican cartels. In his piece, Darby quotes from declassified FBI documents, which indicate that the AB is more interested in drug trafficking than it is in race and that it seems to act in concert with cartels:
The purpose of the AB is now power and is not a racial organization as it has been deemed in the past. The AB’s continue to be aligned with members of the Mexican Mafia (EME)and certain motorcycle type inmates.
Let's revisit a bit of news that was making the rounds after Clements was murdered and before Ebel's death. It had been reported that one week prior to Clements was killed, he vetoed a request from a Saudi prisoner convicted in 2006 for the enslavement and repeated sexual assault of an Indonesian woman. Homaidan Al-Turki's request was that he finish serving his sentence in Saudi Arabia. In layman's terms, he wanted to be released.
In a letter to Al-Turki dated March 11th, three days before Ebel ditched his ankle bracelet, Clements informed the Saudi prisoner that his request for release to Saudi Arabia had been denied.
Ebel becoming the most obvious suspect in the murder of Clements did two things. One, it prevented speculation about a major international showdown / scandal between the U.S and Saudi Arabia. Authorities began "de-prioritizing" an Al-Turki connection when the evidence against Ebel became so strong. Two, it enabled a narrative to take hold that a white supremacist group was likely behind the murder of a high-ranking Colorado prison official.
Extrapolating Ebel's alleged actions as a member of the Aryan Brotherhood to the murders in Kaufman, TX of District Attorneys (the McLellans were murdered after Ebel's death) helps to further the narrative that a racist group was behind all of the murders.
Certainly, we can all agree that if given the option of a Saudi hit man, Mexican drug cartels, or a white supremacist movement being implicated in the murders of state officials in Texas and Colorado, the Obama administration would certainly prefer the third option.
Go figure. That's the one being pushed by the mainstreamObama media.
Proof that Planned Parenthood is evil. In the abortion debate, you have those who believe that life begins at conception vs. those who believe life begins after the mother and child are separated at birth. The pro-death abortionists have officially run headlong into the buzz saw of a reality that they are committing crimes on par with - or worse than - those committed by the Nazis.
This video provides the proof.
Her name is Alisa LaPolt Snow and she is a lobbyist for Planned Parenthood in Florida. In this video, she is answering questions from Florida legislators who seek to determine what Planned Parenthood's position is on the murder of infants that takes place after babies are born alive, following a botched abortion. Using Planned Parenthood's own logic, once the baby is separated from the mother, it is a living, breathing human being. Here is where the entire pro-choice argument falls apart.
If LaPolt says the baby should not be murdered at that point, Planned Parenthood is on the hook for committing an untold number of murders. If she says the murder can proceed, the entire premise that life begins outside the womb is demonstrably false.
Watch as LaPolt defends the murder of the most innocent of people.
Do you remember back in 2009, when China's Mao was all the rage? The Obamautomatons loved the comparisons. How about Che Guevara? T-shirts and hats were all the rage too. The parallels between Operation Fast and Furious and the 9/11/12 attack in Benghazi continue to mount. The latest example comes courtesy of Kerry Picket. She is reporting that Rep. Jason Chaffetz, who serves on the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees, says the State Department is not allowing him to talk to any of the survivors of the Benghazi attack.
Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R- UT) told Breitbart News on Wednesday that he has been “thwarted” by the State Department from seeing any Americans who survived the deadly attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi. Many people forget that there were Americans who survived the Benghazi attack, some of whom were badly injured and are still recovering.
“My understanding is that we still have some people in the hospital. I’d like to visit with them and wish them nothing but the best but the State Department has seen it unfit for me to know who those people are—or even how many there are,” Rep. Chaffetz said. I don’t know who they are. I don’t know where they live. I don’t know what state they’re from. I don’t even know how many there are. It doesn’t seem right to me.
So, how is this reminiscent of how the Fast and Furious investigation was handled?
Consider the names Kevin O'Reilly and William Newell. When the DOJ / ATF - led Operation Fast and Furious was at its peak, there were communications between Newell and O'Reilly, who at the time was Director of North American Affairs with the National Security Council (the White House). If one ATF employee could be placed at the center of Fast and Furious, Newell might be that guy.
Here is a very compelling exchange between Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Newell from July 26, 2011 in which Gowdy confronts the former SAC about an email between O'Reilly and Newell. Shortly after this exchange, O'Reilly was transferred to Iraq to work as a State Department employee:
Obviously, after O'Reilly's name was brought into the Fast and Furious scandal, Oversight Committee chairman, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) wanted to talk to him. Here is an exchange between Issa and Fox News Channel's Bret Baier a couple of months after the July 26th hearing:

Obama administration employee Kevin O’Reilly -- who congressional investigators called “the link connecting the White House to the [Fast and Furious] scandal” -- is back in the United States now after abruptly leaving his White House job to work in Iraq in 2011 after emails concerning him and Fast and Furious had surfaced.
O'Reilly left the United States in August 2011, shortly after his knowledge of the gun-walking program was publicized during a congressional hearing on July 26.
O’Reilly has so far refused to cooperate with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, which recently threatened to subpoena him. He also refused to cooperate with the Justice Department’s Office of Inspector General, which investigated the program and recently released its findings.
Both the House committee and the Inspector General's office sought to interview O'Reilly about Fast and Furious but the White House refused to grant him permission to be interviewed.
Another curious bit of timing involved the release of the DOJ's Inspector General report just weeks before O'Reilly's return from Iraq, meaning that O'Reilly left for Iraq shortly after he became a person of interest for the Oversight Committee and returned shortly after the DOJ IG issued its final report. Despite this, the White House said that was all coincidence:
In August 2011 -- after the e-mails were first discussed at a July 26 congressional hearing -- O’Reilly was named as the senior director of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Programs in Iraq, a State Department position.
The State Department official told CNSNews.com that O’Reilly’s reassignment to Iraq from the White House “was a standard foreign service career rotation that had been planned for months in advance of his detail to the NSS.” The State Department could not confirm O’Reilly’s new title at the State Department.
So, what do Kevin O'Reilly and the survivors of the 9/11/12 attack in Benghazi have in common? All are State Department employees (presumptively); all were somehow connected to operations that involved the murder of American officials; and all are being prevented from speaking to Congressional committees who want and deserve answers.
Mexico's ambassador to the United States is actually making the argument that Operation Fast and Furious so damaged his country's perception of America that tighter gun control laws should be enacted here.
The Mexican ambassador to the United States on Thursday said a botched gun-tracking operation by America “poisoned” public opinion of the United States for the citizens of its southern neighbor.
Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan told a room of reporters on Capitol Hill that the failed Operation Fast and Furious, which has been the focus of a Republican investigation in the House for more than a year, “put a lot of strain” on U.S.-Mexico relations.
“Fast and Furious has poisoned the well-spring of public opinion in Mexico as it relates to the cooperation and engagement with the United States,” Sarukhan said.
“It does put a lot of strain on the huge strides that we’ve achieved with two successive administrations in the United States,” he said.
Sarukhan was on the Hill at the invitation of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) to promote tighter gun laws in the United States, including the reinstatement of the federal assault weapons ban, which expired in 2004.
It long ago became apparent that the reason the ATF was forcing gun store owners to sell weapons to straw purchasers who would then 'walk' those guns into Mexico was so that those store owners could be set up and tighter gun laws could be enacted as a result. Fast and Furious was all about creating a political climate that would facilitate the passage of such laws. The lives of innocent Mexicans and at least one U.S. Agent have been sacrificed in the name of gun control.
Yet, when whistle blowers came forward after the murder of Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was found to be connected to Fast and Furious, the jig was up. ATF was outed. In the many months since, so has Eric Holder's Justice Department.
Despite all of this, Sarukhan is pointing to Fast and Furious as a reason for tighter gun laws?? Fast and Furious is a reason for accountability at the highest levels in the U.S. Government, not a reason for further hamstringing law abiding gun store owners. Nonetheless, Mexico has apparently decided to help the Obama administration double down on the reason why Fast and Furious was implemented; that reason was gun control. Period.
It would appear that Mexico's formal position involves threading a needle that makes them look unbelievably foolish in the process. The good news is that Fast and Furious has gotten too big to be ignored.
The bad news for Mexico is that their position on it is akin to a 2 + 2 = 5 argument.
Perhaps this is the most detail about what happened the night of Trayvon Martin's death. The narrative pushed by Al Sharpton and the New Black Panthers has been that George Zimmerman hunted the teen down despite being told not to by police. It's beginning to look like that may be demonstrably false. According to a source allegedly knowledgable of Zimmerman's account, it was Zimmerman who was attacked by Martin.
Since the days immediately after the shooting, news outlets have widely reported the 911 calls Zimmerman made, during which he told a police dispatcher that he would follow Martin, whom he described as suspicious. The police dispatcher said, “We don’t need you to do that.”
As has been reported, Zimmerman told police officials that he lost sight of Martin and went around a townhouse to see where he was. Then he claimed Martin confronted him and punched him, knocking him down.
According to The Daily Beast’s source, Zimmerman told police that when he was on the ground, Martin straddled him, striking him, and then tried to smother him.
Zimmerman claimed that he yelled for help, and that various neighbors who peered out to see the fight from their backyards didn’t get involved. Zimmerman, the source said, told officers he was so paralyzed by fear that he initially forgot he had a gun, but he said that after Martin noticed his 9mm pistol, Zimmerman pulled it out of his belt holder and fired one round, a hollow-point—the round that killed Martin. (The autopsy report on Martin has not yet been released.)
According to the source, Zimmerman told police that Martin’s last words after the shooting were, “Okay, you got it.” He said the phrase twice, then turned and fell face-down on the ground.
Very few people are asserting that Zimmerman used good judgment that night but it's important to learn what happened after police told him to stop following Trayvon. Did he stop or continue? If he stopped and was attacked by Martin, we have a completely different set of facts that race baiters could regret attempting to alter.
Another interesting aspect to all of this involves the multiple attempts by Sanford police to find inconsistencies in Zimmerman's account.
The law-enforcement source said Sanford police investigators interviewed Zimmerman three times about the shooting. The last time followed a walk-through of the shooting site. Afterward, three detectives grilled Zimmerman at police headquarters in their most thorough and hostile questioning, according to the source. They told Zimmerman they didn’t believe him, the source said, and tried to poke holes in his story.
A spokesman for the Sanford Police Department declined to comment on the case.
The precise details of that story are crucial to the case against Zimmerman. Perhaps the key issue will be who instigated the confrontation. The brief affidavit filed by the special prosecutor in support of the murder charge contends that Zimmerman provoked the encounter by following and confronting the teenager.
Note the last part. If special prosecutor Angela Corey charged Zimmerman based on an affidavit that said he provoked the encounter while multiple police investigators determined something else entirely, this could be a battle between Sandford police and the special prosecutor, not just one between Zimmerman and the Martin family. In fact, Corey's decision to indict Martin actually makes the Sandford police look incompetent. If they aren't and got it right, they're likely going to defend themselves. If they have the truth on their side, they'll probably be able to back it up.
George Zimmerman has been charged with second degree murder. As MSNBC's Ann Curry points out in this interview with Trayvon Martin's parents, that charge comes with a presupposition that the perpetrator has reckless disregard for human life. Shortly after saying that, Trayvon's mother - Sybrina Fulton - says she thinks the death of her son was an 'accident' at the 4:00 mark. Take note of the body language of the attorney - seated to Fulton's left - right after she says it.
Remember this guy? Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA), who actually got reelected after expressing his fear that Guam could become so "overly populated" that it might "tip over and capsize," is back. This time, while chiming in on what happened in the Trayvon Martin case, not only decided to speak using rhyming acronyms but asserted that Martin was "executed" because of his skin color.
Just in case you forgot, here is Johnson from 2010, after which, his people actually put him back in office. Proof that far too many qualified, intelligent people have decided to stay out of politics.
We knew this was coming. The Occupy movement miscreants - who cried uncle in the face of disease, rapes, murders, assaults, arson, mountains of human waste, and the bitter winter cold - have climbed back out of their holes (made warm by someone else's hard work). Perhaps the city with the worst reputation when it comes to the OWS movement (worst of the worst) is Oakland, which is coincidentally, where Van Jones is from.
As added incentive, Occupy Oakland is using the Trayvon Martin killing as fuel for its crime spree, masked as a righteous encampment.
OAKLAND, Calif. — Occupy Oakland activists have set up a new encampment in a park north of downtown, calling it a response to the recent arrests of protesters in New York and the shooting death of an unarmed Florida teenager.
About a dozen people in six tents spent Wednesday night in Mosswood Park at Broadway and West MacArthur Boulevard. They were still there Thursday.
Police visited the group around 9 a.m. but did not ask them to leave, according to protesters.
"This is the start of the spring offensive," said Melvin Kelley, a member of the group's Tactical Action Committee. "This is our new encampment until May 1, when we retake" Frank Ogawa Plaza, which the group occupied last year.
Kelley said the activists had pitched tents to show support for Occupy Wall Street protesters who were arrested in New York's Zuccotti Park last week while commemorating the six-month anniversary of the movement.
They are also protesting the killing of Trayvon Martin, a 17-year-old African American who was shot to death by a white man in a gated community near Orlando, Fla., on Feb. 26. The man, George Zimmerman, says he was defending himself against the unarmed teen and has not been arrested.
The description of Zimmerman as a "white man" is a bit misleading. He is actually a Latino. Say, are these OWS movements made up of any Hispanics? If so, and Zimmerman is exonerated (this is a possibility, at least based on one witness account), will those Hispanics continue to side with the movement?
The racially-focused Spike Lee has decided to play a hand in any possible effort to lynch George Zimmerman by re-tweeting the address of the man accused of killing Trayvon Martin. Despite the fact that a new witness to the incident has come forward to provide contradictory evidence to the narrative accepted by the likes of Lee and the New Black Panther Party (NBPP), the film director could end up with blood on his hands if a race riot results from the misuse of his celebrity.
Here is video of Mikhail Muhammad of the New Black Panther Party (NBPP) in what looks like Zimmerman's neighborhood, on Saturday, March 24th. Note that he is offering a reward for Zimmerman's capture and threatens to do what the police will not.
We all know this is political. To deny that is to exhibit a degree of naivete that is pre-pubescent. One of the things the Democrats are overlooking here is that while George Zimmerman has a caucasian's last name, he is hispanic. If the account of the witness mentioned above proves to be correct or if harm comes to Zimmerman as a result of all this, a certain ethnic group the Democrats are trying to win over could turn on them in a hurry.
One other thing to note in this video. Muhammad accuses whites of killing black children. Uh, Muhammad, would you mind qualifying that by saying it's white Democrats who do that? They're the ones who support Planned Parenthood, which slaughters millions of black babies. Yet, you're siding with Democrats like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson?! No wonder these people are so unhinged. The level of cognitive dissonance inside their skulls is too much for any human being to handle without spouting off like this.
It looks like there is shocking new evidence to come out in the Trayvon Martin case and it involves a witness who claims to have seen the entire episode. He was interviewed by the Fox affiliate in Tampa and appears to paint a picture of what happened that is completely different from the narrative being pushed by the typical race-baiters. The fact remains that Martin was unarmed but if the testimony from this witness is accurate, it points to Martin actually attacking Zimmerman.
The meme being pushed by the race-baiters is that Zimmerman was going after Martin while talking to a 911 operator, who told him not to continue. The implication - if you listen to the race baiters - is that Zimmerman kept pursuing Martin while also being the only one of the two with a gun. This witness, who would not go on camera, seems to indicate that Zimmerman listened to the 911 operator and turned back before Martin attacked him.
Again, according to this witness, Zimmerman fits the description of the person who was on the bottom of a scrum between two people and Martin fits the description of the person who was on top, attacking him. The fact remains that Zimmerman was the only person in possession of a gun so if he shot Martin, it may have been a case of excessive deadly force in response to what Martin was doing to him. That could be offset by one possibility. Was Martin going for Zimmerman's gun?
We still don't know the answers to these questions but that doesn't seem to stop the race baiters. Anyway, here is the news report from Fox's Tampa affiliate (h/t Free Republic):
We all remember when President Barack Obama was asked about the arrest of his friend and (black) professor, Henry Louis Gates. He jumped to conclusions after admitting he didn't "have all the facts" and said the "police acted stupidly." As those facts came in, we learned that the police acted lawfully and it was our president who acted stupidly by speaking without the facts he admitted he did not have. It led to the face-saving and now infamous White House beer summit. Conclusions were jumped to based almost entirely on race.
Now, after the initial reports of the Trayvon Martin shooting painted the picture of an innocent boy returning home from the store with little more than a bag of skittles, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton have already assumed their roles as bomb-throwing race-baiters who love to rub raw the sores of racial discontent. Obama, who either doesn't understand the size of his pulpit or does and loves to misuse it, said that if he had a son, he'd "look just like Trayvon."
Mr. Obama should be careful because he's coming precipitously close to saying that George Zimmerman acted stupidly. Whether he did or didn't, as Obama said prior to being proven wrong in the Henry Louis Gates case, "we don't know all the facts."
One other thing to note here. Zimmerman is Hispanic.
Last night on AC 360, coverage of the Fast and Furious scandal was very well done. It started with a segment on the murder of ICE Agent Jaime Zapata, which also explored the possibility that a Fast and Furious style operation took place in Texas and ultimately led to Zapata's death. The man convicted of trafficking one of the guns used in Zapata's death - Manuel Barba - was also presented in the CNN report. Barba is key because documents show the ATF had him under surveillance before he purchased the gun used in Zapata's murder.
Notice in the video - at the 3:40 mark - that reporter Drew Griffin makes the claim that the ATF said it "didn't even know of Barba's existence" until after Zapata's murder. That is an astonishing claim in light of the fact that a letter from Rep. Darrell Issa and Senator Charles Grassley to Attorney General Eric Holder showed that the ATF had Barba under surveillance before he even purchased the weapon. I wrote about that here but this is the relevant excerpt from the letter which flies in the face of what Griffin says the ATF told him:
Now, news reports indicate that this may have been an issue with a purchaser of another one of the weapons found at Agent Zapata’s murder scene.[5] Records indicate that ATF opened a case against Manuel Barba in June 2010,[6] approximately two months before he took possession on August 20, 2010, of the rifle which was later trafficked to Mexico and also used in the murder of Agent Zapata.[7] Additionally, the documents show that ATF had indications in October 2010 that Barba was obliterating serial numbers on weapons, the possession of which would have been a prosecutable offense.[8] At least as of December 13, 2010, ATF also was aware that Barba was still under indictment for a 2006 state case, and thus had been unlawfully receiving firearms while under indictment.[9] However, a warrant was not issued for Barba’s arrest in this case until February 14, 2011.[10]
Issa and Grassley cited an article written by CBS' Sharyl Attkisson as their source for the claim that the ATF had been tracking Barba months before he purchased the weapons in question. Yet, the ATF told CNN they were unaware of Barba's existence?
In a related development, CBS News has obtained documents showing that Barba was under ATF surveillance for at least six months before a rifle he trafficked was used in Zapata's murder. Zapata's government vehicle was ambushed by suspected cartel thugs in Mexico Feb. 15, 2011.
Here is Griffin's report on the murder of Zapata which, to this point, has not been given the attention that has been given to Terry's murder. It looks like that reality is changing. That could also mean that Issa's Committee is turning its focus to ATF's role in another murder of a federal agent.
***CORRECTION 3/17*** In the story above, I erroneously stated that Drew Griffin reported the ATF claimed not to have known of Barba's existence until after Zapata's murder. That was incorrect. The ATF told Griffin they hadn't learned of Barba's existence until after he purchased the gun used in Zapata's murder. However, that claim doesn't jibe with Attkisson's report either. According to her February 22nd story, the ATF had Barba under surveillance beginning in June of 2010; Barba took delivery of the murder weapon on August 20th.
There's a very tried and true rule in journalism. When writing a story, the meat should always come in the headline and first paragraph. If the reader wants more detail, he will continue reading. Apparently, this rule doesn't apply when the story is about a Muslim who dresses in a Santa suit and kills his daughter because she's dating a non-Muslim man.
Neighbors horrified at news of family’s slayings in Grapevine
GRAPEVINE — Aziz Yazdanpanah seemed to be losing control of his life in recent months — his wife left him, his house was in foreclosure, and his 19-year-old daughter was dating a young man he didn’t like.
Even so, the 58-year-old former real estate agent from Colleyville seemed to be holding it together. Neighbors say he would smile and wave as he drove through his middle-class neighborhood. Recently, he was seen raking leaves in his yard.
“He was very friendly, a very good neighbor,” said Carrie Stewart, who lives across the street. “He was out here often doing yard work and he even watched our house for us when we went to Colorado.”

Muslim Male dresses as Santa Claus, slays family on Christmas morning
GRAPEVINE - Aziz Yazdanpanah, a Muslim, who reportedly objected to his daughter's boyfriend, was found dead along with his daughter, Nona, and six others on Christmas morning in the home where Yazdanpanah's estranged wife was living.
An investigation into the motive is ongoing in the apparent murder / suicide but according to a classmate of Nona, the dating habits of his daughter were a source of great distress for Yazdanpanah.
“She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,” Laci Reed, 18, said.
Reading the piece in the Dallas Morning News, one is almost left with the impression that the real victim was the murderer, who had fallen on hard times, and not his young daughter, who had her whole life in front of her.
Oh, and the police officer at the scene, Lt. Todd Dearing, said the motive wasn't important.
We very well be learning why Attorney General Eric Holder is so testy these days. It very well may be the result of a confluence of events that are taking their toll. Aside from the fact that he will be in front of three tenacious bulldogs in Darrell Issa, Trey Gowdy, and Jason Chaffetz on December 8th during the House Judiciary Committee hearing, the bizarre sealing of Brian Terry's murder records raises even more concerns about stonewalling.
The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.
This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.
Of course, one of the most disturbing allegations relative to Terry's murder is that the gun used to kill him was likely a third gun at the scene, put in the hands of an FBI informant BY the FBI. That gun has apparently disappeared. While two guns recovered at the scene were put in the hands of the bad guys by the ATF's Fast and Furious operation, the missing weapon would point to something far more nefarious, in addition to a cover-up on the part of whoever disposed of that alleged third gun.

Barack Obama supports Occupy Wall Street. Someone in the Barack Obama administration supported Fast and Furious. As a result of both, Americans were shot to death. Floyd Reports has posted my latest column on the subject:
In Operation Fast and Furious, Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was murdered on American soil; he was shot with a gun that was put in the hands of the shooter by an agency under the direction of Barack Obama’s Justice Department – the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF). In the months that have transpired since, culpability has been creeping closer to Obama himself, thanks to suspect and conflicting testimony from a range of officials at DOJ, including Attorney General Eric Holder. Those following the scandal have been choking on the stench of cover-up for months.
Speaking of stench, since the mayor of Oakland – Jean Quan – allowed protesters to ‘re-occupy’ her city after ordering police to clear the area, millions of dollars of damage has been done; crime has surged, and a man was shot dead at the Frank H. Ogawa Plaza, the site of Occupy Oakland. The question of whether Quan has the blood of that man on her hands hangs in the air like smoke from a fired gun on a still night. Since the shooting on November 10th, there appears to be multiple attempts to cover-up some facts there too.
Barucha Peller, a woman who fancies herself as a bit of a spokesperson for Occupy Oakland, didn’t just attempt to distance the movement from the shooting; she made it sound as if the man’s chances of survival would have been diminished but for her colleagues:
“The only direct Occupy Oakland involvement was in order to provide emergency first-aid services.”
Thanks to Zombie at Pajamas Media, it’s been learned that the San Francisco Chronicle shamefully scrubbed a portion of one of its reports that identified the victim as having been an Occupy Oakland occupier. It only served to make Peller’s claims even more despicable.
At the very beginning of the Obama administration, the ATF portrayed itself as an entity that did everything it possibly could to interdict weapons headed for Mexico. In reality, it was facilitating their transport. Mexican drug cartels were the beneficiaries of at least 2,000 guns. In a February 4, 2011 letter to Senator Chuck Grassley, Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich reiterated that the ATF was doing all it could to protect Americans when he wrote:
“ATF makes every effort to interdict weapons that have been purchased illegally and prevent their transportation to Mexico.”
Nine months later, Assistant Attorney General for the Criminal Division, Lanny Breuer conceded that Weich’s statement was false.
In much the same way that Quan is responsible for protecting her city’s police and citizens to the best of her ability, DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano is responsible for doing the same for American citizens and her agents – of which Terry was one. In testimony she gave to the House Judiciary committee on October 26, 2011, Napolitano admitted to never talking with Holder about Fast and Furious, even though ATF agents knew within hours of Terry’s death that it had the blood of one of Napolitano’s agents (Terry) on its hands. Not only that but on June 26, 2011 former ATF Special Agent William Newell conceded that Fast and Furious was an operation that included DHS as well as Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), which reports to DHS.
Indications are that Napolitano contributed – as yet, to an unquantifiable degree – to the environment which led to Terry’s death. Prior to the November 2nd general strike in Oakland, Quan seemed to preside over the equivalent of human cock fighting when she encouraged all city employees to take the day off and join the protests – that is, all city employees except the police. Oakland’s cops were all required to report for work.
Individuals at Justice, DHS, and quite possibly State all have questions to answer about their roles in Fast and Furious, as well as the resultant death of Terry. They all report up a chain that ends with Barack Obama.
Oakland is where former Obama green jobs czar, Van Jones got his start. Jones is one of the main organizers of the #Occupy Wall Street movement. Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA), whose district includes Oakland, has a rich history with Jones and helped get him hired by the White House; Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett practically admitted as much in August of 2009. Violence, crime, and millions of dollars in damages at these protests all across the country almost gave the potential for such a death the air of inevitability.
We Know Barack Obama supports the Occupy Wall Street movement, which has devolved into a cesspool of violent crime in many cities, not just Oakland. At last count, there have been more than 4000 arrests nationwide. The president’s support for Occupy Wall Street does not assuage the suspicions of those who wonder about his level of support for Fast and Furious; it does the opposite.
Obama’s support for Occupy Wall Street might one day tell us how something like Operation Fast and Furious ever saw the light of day.
During the November 8th Senate Judiciary committee hearing, Attorney General Eric Holder was asked by Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) if he's apologized to the family of slain Border Patrol agent Brian Terry. Holder said he had not and declined to do so when Cornyn gave him the opportunity to do so during the hearing. The subsequent fallout apparently caused Holder to issue an apology.
However, in a gaffe that should cause EVERYONE to forget about Rick Perry, Holder's letter appears to have reached the press before showing up in the Terry family's mailbox.
Politico reported Thursday that Attorney General Eric Holder sent a “private letter” to the family of murdered Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, apologizing for his death. But friends of the Terry family have told The Daily Caller that no such letter has made it to the Terry home.
“Eric Holder has told the grieving family of slain U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry that he is ‘sorry for the loss of your son’ and offered to meet with them,” reporter Tim Mak wrote.
Holder’s letter, Mak wrote, praised the fallen Border Patrol Agent: “Brian was a hero who served his nation bravely and made the ultimate sacrifice. I agree with you that the tactic of allowing guns to ‘walk,’ as was permitted in Operation Fast and Furious, is completely unacceptable.”
The Holder letter may exist, but Politico hasn’t published it. And friends of the Terry family told The Daily Caller on Thursday that they haven’t received it.
Either Holder never sent his “private letter,” or the Justice Department leaked it to Politico before the Terry family received it.
“He never sent a letter,” Lana Domino, a Terry family friend, told TheDC on Thursday.
“I talk to them daily,” Domino added. “They never received an apology. They never received a letter.”
If it wasn't obvious that any apology from Holder after declining to issue one at the Senate hearing would be politically motivated, not heartfelt, it should be obvious now.
